What's New . . .

Anderson Road Overpass

Construction began mid-December on the new 2 Mile Roadway and Bridge/Overpass of the Union Pacific Railroad in Elburn. This project will provide a safe grade-separated railroad crossing, alternative travel routes and will improve response time for emergency vehicles. It will also provide direct access to the Elburn Metra station, and bicycle/pedestrian infrastructure. The overpass is anticipated to be open to the public early 2015.
