Since we began recycling obsolete electronic equipment in 2001, more than 30,000 local residents and small businesses have brought in3.6 million pounds of items to be recycled enough to fill 135 semi-trailers. We have also recycled 140,000 old floppy disks, 100,000 CDs, 60,000 videocassettes, and 400,000 pounds of books. RECYCLING DAYS FOR 2010-2011 Free of charge and open only to residents of Kane County and the Cities of Aurora and Elgin Dates: Now open on the 2nd Friday and Saturday of each month as follows: Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon
2010 Location: Kane County Circuit Clerk, 540 S. Randall Road, St. Charles Items Accepted for Recycling: DO NOT BRING Manuals, Packing Material, Air Conditioners or other appliances, or Household Hazardous Wastes.
