The Kane County Economic Development Advisory Board (EDAB) promotes economic development in Kane County by providing a wide variety of technical and financial assistance programs for economic and community development to urban and rural communities and organizations in Kane County. The goal of this mission is to form economic partnerships, allowing both Kane County and its urban and rural communities to enhance and sustain the economic strength of the county.

The direction for economic growth throughout Kane County is provided by the Kane County 2030 Land Resource Management Plan, adopted October 12, 2004 by the Kane County Board. The EDAB supports the 2030 Plan and strives to create a balance between growth management and economic development to ensure economic growth that maintains and enhances the infrastructure, transportation system, workforce and quality of life in Kane County.

The EDAB encourages the retention, expansion and attraction of businesses that contribute to favorable economic growth and job creation in Kane County and its communities. To achieve this, the EDAB is working to provide an easily accessible, comprehensive data base of the economic, demographic and real estate resources available in Kane County.
