Property protection measures are used to modify buildings
or property subject to damage. Property protection measures fall under
three approaches:
- Modify the site to keep the hazard from reaching
the building
- Modify the building so it can withstand the impacts
of the hazard, and
- Insure the property to provide financial relief
after the damage occurs.
