CHILD ADVOCACY CENTER The Kane County Child Advocacy Center is located at 5th and Campbell Streets in Geneva. The CAC is designed to provide the best available aid through an interdisciplinary team composed of prosecutors, police investigators, DCFS investigators, and case managers for the investigation and prosecution of sexual abuse and/or serious physical abuse to children. The CAC is directed by the Kane County Child Advocacy Advisory Board. The Board establishes the protocols of operation. The State's Attorney serves as the Chairman of the Board as directed by statute. The Center's executive director, investigators, social workers, prosecuters, and support staff carry out the mission of the Children's Advocacy Center. The Child Advocacy Center is committed to providing a safe environment for child victims of sexual assault and severe physical abuse. The goal of the Child Advocacy Center is to investigate and assist the State's Attorney's Office in the prosecution of offenders without causing further trauma to the child-victim.
