The Civil Division of the Kane County State's Attorney's Office serves as legal counsel to the Kane County board, Kane County Elected Officials, Kane County departments,commissions, and hearing boards. The Civil Division represents the County and its officials in state and federal civil litigation arising out of the course of the execution of official duties. Such matters include civil rights, labor and employment, personal injury, insurance subrogation, zoning and development, real estate taxation, and objections to election petitions and contracts.
